November/December Announcements 2011

November:
Wednesday 23rd: Careers Expo, 6pm @ Pah Road Chapel. This is a fantastic evening to attend so make sure you're free to attend.

Saturday 26th: DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!!

Saturday 26th: Harbour Stake YSA Film Festival. Meet at sunset chapel @ 10am, to receive your cameras and props to make your short film. Have lunch and edit your movie, then meet back at Sunset chapel @ 7pm, dressed in your 'flash' clothes, and if you would like bring a date, where supper will be provided and you can watch everyone's films. December:
Friday 2nd: Albany Ward has booked the 6.30pm session for baptisms and they need extra numbers. If you would like to go please let Kylee or DJ know by this Friday (25th nov).

Saturday 3rd: We are doing temple daycare for the members in our ward with young children who would like to attend the 2.30 session on that day. We have a chapel booked in Hamilton so there will be plenty of space to roam. We already have families booked in for it so now we need YSA to commit to helping. This is a service activity. We will be leaving Takapuna Chapel on the Saturday @ 12pm which leaves us enough time for Pokeno, and we should be able to leave Hamilton between 5/5.30pm. This is the only chance some families have for attending the temple so please if you can make yourself available to help.

Friday 9th: Takapuna Ward Christmas Acitivity. Details are to follow but please come. This will be the opening for our Takapuna Ward YSA Weekend!!!

Friday 9th - Sunday 11th: Takapuna Ward YSA "Call of Duty" Weekend.
This will kick off with our ward activity Friday night, followed by a fantastic activity on Saturday, and finishing the weekend with a cottage evening on the Sunday night!! Put this in your diary. You won't want to miss it!!

Thursday 15th & Tuesday 20th: Albany Ward YSA have booked some appointments at the Takapuna Blood rooms for anyone who wants to donate. You do need an appointment so please let Kylee or DJ know asap if you are keen to donate on either of these days. It will be greatly appreciated!!!

Saturday 17th: Harbour Stake YSA Christmas Service Activity. This activity is also open to the priests and laurels in the stake. More details are to follow. Please keep this date free.

New Years!! Regional YSA New Years Ball on the Saturday night followed by a Fireside on the Sunday evening. Posters to come. See Kylee and DJ to reserve your tickets.

2012:
If you have any ideas that you would like to put forward for service activities or just activities in general for next year on a ward and stake level please see Kylee or DJ so we can pass these ideas along and get our calendars started!!

Sunday 17th: Regional Fireside

7:00 pm @ Sunset Chapel

APRIL FAST BREAKER

The Mercer's have offered their home for this months Fast Breaker, come break your fast and enjoy each others company. Bring any food item that you would like to share, see you there :)

And so it begins...

As YSA advisers it is our hope that this blog can help to keep everyone up to date, informed & involved with the Takapuna YSA. We want this page to be a safe haven for all.  A place where you can ask questions, express yourself and above all come closer to Christ.

We are still working many of the kinks out, but we hope that over time this blog can be the place to go for all of your YSA needs. We are excited to get to know each of you more and are happy for the opportunity to learn and grow together.
